THE STORY

Having been born and raised on the farm, I gained a deep love for the amazing beauty of nature. Through my mother, I gained my love for art. She was a cultured woman who raised her family in a hard-working, dusty farming environment. She taught us to love the world and find joy and beauty in the simple things. We lived the way of farmers and ranchers......with a love and respect for the land. Included in my life was the faith and love of God nurtured by my devoted parents. A gift of my heritage.

Over the years I have moved from place to place, but my love for the farm pulls me home. I have a great respect for nature and the earth that gives us life. I am constantly aware of colors, shapes and shadows; like the color patterns on fields and mountains, and the song of the birds and the call of the cattle. I love the smell of newly cut hay, and the fragrance of sage brush after rain. These are all part of what makes me who I am.

As time moves forward I continue to feel the draw and the joy in this amazing world God has created.

My feelings can be summed up in the words of the Utah artist, LeConte Stewart; "There is nothing finer or greater than to paint the things that God created. Many times I come home bowed down with reverence, grateful that I am an artist."   ditto Mr. Stewart!
